Mirin is a dominant flavour in the art of kaiseki, the highest form of Japanese cooking. It is traditionally brewed using labour-intense fermentation methods representing the history and culture of pre-industrial Japan. It contains no artificial additives or preservatives.

Mirin has a sweet, rich taste and is a versatile seasoning. It accentuates milder flavours while giving balance to stronger tasting dishes. Ideal for seafood, Asian and Western cuisine. Add to sauces, stir-fries, noodles, rice and even fruity desserts.
